The first time I was down as mentioned I met up with a whole bunch of people involved in this organization. The second time I solicited friends and coworkers and approached local organizations for donations for La Esperanza Granada. I managed to fill a hockey bag with much needed first aid materials and delivered it. I think I had the best job ever, seeing the gratitude of the nurse and the staff at this site...was unbelievable. Nicaragua is poor, very por and the help the children and families receive through this organization is wonderful. 100% of donaions go to the families in the pueblos , all staff are strictly volunteer. So if you are looking for a worthwhile cause.I can attest to the value of this one
