What a day!! I had deceided to head to the Market in Solola, so headed to the Chickenbus corner early in the morning. At then coffee shop at the bus stop I was invited to coffee with a group of 5 Belgian men, ended up getting their guide's phone umber to conatct them on Sunday to meet in Chichicastenango. Back outside waiting for the bus, I met a lovely Guatemelan lady, Sonia. Turns out she moved to Toronto, Canada and now, in retirement , winters here every year and runs a lovely hotel Casa Loma. Well Sonia was off to Qietzaltenango (Xela) and asked if I would like to come along...why not. So the best laid plans.....
On the bus I met a gal, Anne from Edmonton...what a small World this is!
The ride to Xela was about 3 hours, uneventful.
